1980 Corvette Hatchback

I have a 1980 Corvette that has a hatchback. Now most people would say are u sure its not an 82, yes I am positive. I have the paperwork where the dealer installed the hatchback, but I was wondering how many knew of this option and how many cars had this option because mine is the only one I have ever seen.

I have a 1980 corvette,"HatchVette" In my garage, have had it since 1986. This is a C&C and has the decal "HatchVette" on the lower front fenders. It has defogger and fits fairly well, however as time has gone by it tends to leak at the seal. It is an L48 with less than 70K miles. The hatch was a dealer option only in '80 by C&C and this was dealer installed.

Looking for a manual, wiring diagram or any other information.

I bought a 1980 corvette Hatch back in 1987 by accident. I recently had the car redone and the conversation centered around the "Hatch" . An appraiser refused to appraise the car unless it was documented. I did attempt but ran into a corvette rubber nosed idiot. I did take the car up to a corvette specialist and he offered me any car on his lot if I would trade. I learned several things regarding the rarity and would be happy to share. Also during research I contacted just about everyone I could and found somethings which may be helpful. I will monitor the site if anyone needs anything.

Hello,

I have a "Hatch Vette" in my garage as we speak. We bought this vette in 1987 and were told it was a dealer mod. I haven't figured out yet if it was an Eckler product or the Cars and Concepts. I am leaning toward the Cars and Concepts as it has defogger, interior light interface and alarm. On the front fender it has the "Hatch Vette" decal. Just thought I would let you know I have a dealer mod vette.
