73 corvette won't start

We have cleaned and replaced the gaskets on the carburetor. We have also replaced the spark plugs. It doesn't start but turns over.

To start with ,does it have points and condenser in it ? If so do you know how to set the points ,check for spark ,to see if the coil is putting out?If you don't have spark it will not run .It will turn over and everything but won't start .First of all , do you know what i am talking about?Why don't we do it this way ,Email me at theclockmann@aol.com and let me know what you know about motors or better yet call me at 714-893-5023 and we will talk about it .
