Absolutely no power (electric)

by Phil
(Alberta Canada)

I own a 2001 and it has been sitting in the garage for three years. Naturally the battery ran dead. I hooked up the booster cables and the door chime, dash lights ext came to life. After trying a couple times to start the car with no luck I decided to leave it for a bit. upon returning and trying again, the starter turned over and then instantly the car lost all power. The dash lights, door chime, everything. I unhooked the cables and then reinstalled them and still no power. What could be the cause???
