Intermittent no start

I have ’90 Automatic Corvette, I can drive it for 3-4 days straight, or let it sit for 2 weeks, and it will start every time. A few weeks ago went to take it out and it wouldn't start after a few tries and then after about 20 minutes later I tried to start it once more and it started right up with no problem. Then other day I took it out for a spin went back home for a while, hour later went back out to get gas each time it would start right up. Go the gas went to leave and then it wouldn't start, no clicking nothing. The dash lights up like normal, it just won't fire. Do you guys have any idea what's the problem

Starter problem

Had same issue with my '89 convertible. Removed old starter and replaced it with a smaller Hitachi gear reduction starter- never had the problem again!
