I believe the driver's side window stop has broken on my 1994 Corvette Coupe. The window raises up pasted the metal front corner shield or whatever it's called, the front of the window goes up about 2 inches too high and the manual makes it sound pretty clear that it's a broken "stop".

Also, in some blogs I've read, they talk about a "special" tool to hold a bolt or nut; where can you buy this tool?

Lastley, are there any roadblocks or problems to watch out for when I attempt to replace this part, which I have already purchased from Mid America?

Thanks for ANY help you can offer

PS: After I close the door and fully extend the window then, if I lower the window there is a rather loud snap or pop and it sounds like it's snapping the front upper portion of the window; I'm really concerned about breaking the window itself! Thanks again.
