My C5 speedometer just stopped working, Vet is an 03 bought new. HUD and cruise work fine.

My C5 speedometer just stopped working, Vet is an 03 bought new. HUD and cruise work fine. Hate to buy a used instrument cluster and have someone install it.

I was all set to bring my Corvette in on Monday to have the gage cluster removed so I could send it to Southern Electronics to have it repaired. Today (July 30th) something weird happened. I was driving along and someone in front of me was crawling. I was riding along on the rumble strip preparing to pass and my speedometer started to work. The needle was stuck at 200 mph and driving on the rumble strip freed it up or who knows? It may work for the next person, but remember my HUD and cruise control was working.
