my windshield wipers will not turn off

by Guy Williams

When i turn on my 1998 corvette the windshield wipers come on by themselves and i am not able to turn them off. This has happened once before and the shop replaced the control board at the wiper motor. I would like to know if there is something causing the board to fail.

I have the same problem. When I start the car, wipers would sometime turn on on its own and the hvac would take some time to start witch causes the traction controle not to work.
Is it a grounding problem? Fuses?
Sometimes it works just fine. When the wipers don't work they will just be stuck on low speed and intermittent bit works on high speed but they seem to have low power .
Please help.
