no fuel and no start

74 350 Holley 4360 4bbl. sat a year maybe some water leaked in tank from pooled filler area. changed bronze filter. only starts momentarily when gas is poured in carb.

Thanks Don. I have a rebuilt numbers-matching Q-Jet I have been holding in the box for two years (car WAS running great with Holly. Should I drain the tank first before installing it? Don't want to screw up new catb.

It sounds like the gas all dried up in your carb and your needle valve on your float is frozen and not letting gas in the carb . you will a new or rebuilt carb put on . or your fuel pump isn't working . to check pull the gas line off the carb
and have someone turn the motor a few times to see it it is pumping gas. Put a rag over end of gas line while doing this so as to not get gas everywhere.
