Programming keyless entry on a C5

How can I tell if the rfc unit is bad in my 2000 c5?I have tried to program several keyless entry fobs with no success.Does it have to be the correct part # or just the fcc number.Tks Bill

Key FOBS
by: Corvette web central

Definitely has to be the right year key FOB. Why don't you post your year of car and the P/N FOB you have tried. Also you can perform the DTC procedure to gain access to the Radio unit in the car. Doing so will gain you insight to any problems. If it says "No Comm." it most likely is the radio unit. If you need help just come back here.
