stuck in first gear

The other day I was in a parking lot and shifted out of 1st to neutral, when i let go of the clutch i stalled out. Now either because of this or the reason this happened I am stuck in first gear but my shifter feels like its in neutral. I can still drive it in first as well as engage the clutch peddle to coast, but I still stuck.

Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

This is a 69 corvette with a 350 engine and the original transmission. thx.

I have a 70 with the same problem. I with enough patience and time I can slip it back into place but Ièm looking for a real fix. Any advice would help.
