C5 windshield wipers do not park correctly
by: Chip

My ‘01 C5 Corvette does the same thing! They park about 6" above where they should. Otherwise they work just fine. I don’t believe it is a bad motor due to the fact they work perfectly - just won’t park low on the windshield. I am wondering if there is a way to reset the cycle by turning them on and when they cycle down to the bottom of the windshield, pull the fuse when they reach the bottom of the cycle??? I have to think that there is some way to adjust the cycle of the wipers without replacing the motors or tearing the car apart???
Since they do not stop in my field of vision, driving is not effected but it simply bothers me that they do get down to where they should normally sit when they are on but when turned off, they park about 6" above where they should be when off. Help!!

Check mechanism linkages
by: Chris

I would take a closer look at the linkages for wear. FYI that wiper motor should have never cost that much. Please take a look at this ACDelco 12494759 GM Original Equipment Windshield Wiper Motor
