C6 Z06 transmission

My car is a 2008 Z06, built mid-November 2007. It's a great car but sometimes I feel the "long" (numerically low) 5th and especially 6th gears are a drawback. Is there any solution like changing the 2 gears to a 0.81 5th and a 0.68 6th, as an example? Or would the 6060 trans and 3.73-diff. of a CTS-V Cadillac fit?

Yes you are very correct in your observations! The Z06 Transmission has 6th gear as an overdrive. One option is to install a transmission from a C6 ZR1. The Cadillac will not work. The ZR1 Trans has a better gear ratio. It does not have 6th gear as an overdrive. Another place you could ask is http://www.rpmtransmissions.com/ they can pretty much do anything you need for your Vette! Great guy and we have personally done business with them!
