getting some oily smoke after car is warm

1999 corvette, 140000 miles getting some smoke at idle and on take offs from dead stop. The car is a stock 1999 ls1. Comppresion check shows 175psi on all cylinders but #2 which is at 160psi. Is this ok?
or would installing new valve seals be the answer to this problem?

Maybe Kinda!

Your compression is good but it does not mean you will always have adequate control of the oil on the piston rings or the cylinder. The easier option like you said is to change the valve seals. But we have never heard of this being an issue with an LS1 even with that many miles. You may still have an issue with oil control rings and even a PCV or breather problem. You could pull the intake and valve covers to look for anything obvious. That could be done on a weekend with a couple of brew pops!
