Key fob stops working after an hour

When I program the key fob to my 2000 C5, everything works fine. For about 1 hour everyone works fine. Then the key fob stops working, I cannot lock or unlock the car, pop the trunk. It just acts as if the battery in the fob is dead. I tried 3 fresh batteries and they all do the same. I go back in and re-program the key fob again and I'm good for another hour.

Any thoughts?
