1969 corvette overheating..help

by Tim
(Florida)

I have replaced the radiator, added a new elec fan to the new radiator, new water pump, new heater core, temp sending unit, and new 160 degree thermostat. Now when we drive aroound town, it is fine until I idle...then the temp goes up to 230 after driving for 15 min...Can't figure out what else to check or do. We have replaced the entire cooling system. It has been tuned also with a new vacuum advanced dist on it ..Flushed it once, and still the same problem. Ran a heat gun all over and the intake manifold runs hot and everything else seems to be fine. Did the head gasket test and it passed just fine too.

Any ideas on what else to check?
