The car is getting to much fuel at times and won't idle.but sometimes you can start out and it runs fine

For less then 200.oo bucks you can take care of all the problems . Put a rebuilt carb on it and thats it . I know because i have a 81 that was doing the same thing . But make sure it's for a
81 or 82 vette because it has electronic metering
watch is hooked up to the computer.Other then that
GOOD LUCK.
