Brake Lights on 1978

Brake Lights/Hazards not working on my 1978 Vette. I replaced the brake light switch and have power coming out on the white wire when brake is depressed. I'm guessing an open ground, but I checked everywhere. I would like to just re-wire from the brake switch back, but not sure how to ground. Also, I don't really care about the hazards.
