DIC in a 2003 corvette, the reset button will not work

by Gary

The DIC will run through the diagnostics showing any current and history codes, when I press the reset button nothing will clear. Last year when I used this function I heard a pop in the lower passenger floor area after pressing the reset. Car is running good not any obvious problems other than this issue. I had a code 440 for hvac area because of gas cap issue that has been replaced and have a check engine light in yellow that should be removed.
Is it the switch, PCm, or other?

I await your answer

If you inspected all of the fuses and if the cluster is working correctly I suggest changing the DIC buttons. You will unfortunately have to salvage this from ebay as this is a discontinued part from GM. FYI P/N 12135152

Reset button problem
by: Chris Corvette Braniac

So listening to your problem we do not think its related to your EVAP code 440. Reset buttom we are assuming it does not work for any reset function such as resetting trip odometer? Did you check the fuses in the passenger footwell for any blown fuse?

If the fuse is blown replace and try the reset button again.

Check those two things and let us know.
