SQUEAKY RUBBER BUSHINGS
by: Anonymous

mostly your squeaks are from dry rubber bushings chafing on metal as the vehicle suspension goes up and down....look at the control arm bushings upper and lower front these usually get dry from sitting and make noise...also any rubber to metal contact, stabilizer bushings front & rear sometimes rear spring will squeek between leafs. the easiest way to determine exactly where the noise is coming from is WD40!! start spraying one bushing at a time to penetrate the rubber to metal contact....this will determine the DRY one for you....Spray them all it will not hurt anything and penetrate and quiet the squeek!! for short money $$ unless something needs to bve replaced of course? Thanks NED.

Had the same issue...

Hey Gismo,

Had the same problem with my Vette, super embarrassing. I got an entire suspension rebuild kit for a little over $200 and did it myself over the weekend. Not hard and what a difference!
