Head light doors are stuck open and no headlights working

My 1979 corvette I just bought the head lights will not come on or the doors will not close. I also have no brake lights, dash lights or side marker lights. I do have turn signals and a interior dome light. I have never bought a old car before but and willing to try to fix myself before having someone else. Help!
