right rear brake light/taillight goes out when brakes are applied when headlights are on

1978 corvette silver anniversary edition the bulb is good when i apply the brakes with the headlights on, the right rear taillight gets very dim, or goes completely out. when the headlights are off it works fine. The 4 ways work and so do the blinkers the car has been sitting in a garage for 10 years it was my fathers it has only 32000 miles.
