06 manually convertible. Lid in back of seat is getting caught on the trunk

I have a manual convertible on my 06 Corvette and I release the top and push the button in back of the seat and for some reason why I try to lift up lid in back of the seat in order to put the convertible top down inside it's getting caught on the truck has anyone have this problem???
