Had thus same thing happen 2 my 84. Ended up being a plugged catalytic converter. Easy check. Find nearest bolts in front of cc and open it up. Take for a drive if power is back then that's your problem.

This is just a guess but maybe your mufflers are stopped up. Sometimes the baffles inside collapse and if the car can't breathe out it won't accelerate. We had a '92 Cadillac that did that.
