1988 c4 covette dash flashing on and off

The digital dashes in the aging, earlier C4 Corvettes (1984 - 1990) are very well known to suffer a host of failure modes and 'issues'. Dim or completely dark is common. Flickering and flashing is also common. There are bunches of them, at a host of varying prices, on ebay. Many of these are re-built and require your non-working display be sent to them as part of the deal. There are also people that will rebuild yours and send it back for a price. The display units are not difficult to remove and re-install...remove the dash fascia, remove a few screws hold the display unit in place and it unplugs and is out. Reverse the process with a replacement display and you're good to go.
