My 1988 Corvette has a battery leak with ignition off. I put a test light between positive battery post and posive cable and there is voltage. I pulled out the fuses one by one and it didnt make any difference. My battery and starter are new but I have to have at least 14 volt on battery for sarter to engage I there a voltage leake on Positive wire going to the sarter?

battery drain
by: Dallas Dave

Had the same thing last month - the 2 door switches that show the doors as shut were not contacting and the security system thought the doors were open - thus running the security system the entire time - would drain the whole system in 2 days.

Ammeter
by: Corvette web central

Did you try using an Ammeter to determine the rate? Use that tool and disconnect your starter or fuses and anything else that is on the 12v constant power side. Then after you locate the circuit at fault look for a stuck switch bad relay or short to ground or chassis.
