2002 Charging Port in Center Console Remains Operational Even After the Engine is Shut Off

When I plug my dash cam power line or cell phone charger into the charging port located in the console/armrest, devices continue to run/charge when the ignition is shut off. While this may be a deliberate design feature, I'm concerned the battery will totally discharge if I forget to unplug either of these devices. (The charging ports in my later model Toyota deactivate when the ignition is shut off.)

Is there a way to re-wire the ports, perhaps at the fuse box, to ensure they shut off when the ignition is turned off?

I appreciate any knowledgeable input. Thanks.
