2003 convert. locked in park no battery

Hello I bought a 2003 convertible that was flooded. It was in a garage and in park. I would put a battery in it and try to power it up but the drivers side of the hood is stuck down. I have two questions (1)can anyone give me some insight on how to get the drivers side hood latch released? (2)is there any way to get it out of park short of jacking it up and taking the linkage loose at the trans?
