62 corvette hood only opens on drive side when your pull the handle

I have a 62 corvette. When you pull on the hood release only the drivers side of the hood pops up. The passenger side stays latched. Looking for suggestions to open the right side to work on cables.

Hood won't open
by: John

Hi Mike. If you have the Corvette Restorer Volume 44 Number 3 Winter 2018 pages 18 through 24 show how to open a Hood when the Cables won't release the Hood. The Article says for 63 to 67 with Air Conditioning but I think this will work for older ones also. Basically the guy reaches up from under car with a Dowel with hook and moves latch.
Good Luck.
