Air Conditioner switch smoke and burn smell

Last week or so noticed that when I turned off the AC switch I have a burning (Elect) smell, and this morning actually saw wisp of smoke. Could this be a failing switch or something worse? Noticed the smoke from the area in the photo marked by the black circle...

Turns out that there was a bare wire near the front passenger signal light which cause the relay to fry, fixed and good to go.
