c6 hud no display

I have a 2005 vette with hud.the display does'nt come on, i don't think its out of adjustment i think it's not coming on at all. where should i start to look?

I have an '05 myself and the display "stopped working" but looking further, I discovered that the cheap plastic that hoses the mirror inside the unit that projects the image upon the windshield, had crumbled and had fallen down inside the unit. The HUD was working but was not projecting. There is a very detailed repair video on this particular problem on the web. I removed the unit, hot-glued the parts back together and now I keep the display window covered in the daytime - protecting it from the sun, which, in the deep South, is brutal. i repaired mine 2 years ago and have had no further issues. ***when you get the mirror out, clean it with soap and water only*** I wiped mine off and the display is slightly fuzzy now.
