C6 Z06 A/C shuts down when engine gets warm, around 220 degrees

Since I purchase my car in 2008 (Z06) my car has 11k miles on it.
Even before several modifications to the engine it has always run warm (220-230 degrees.)
The A/C shuts down until I get moving again.

Initially a grounding wire for the fan module would melt the connectors so the fan just quit working all together. According to many forums this was a problem that GM did not deal with.

I am not getting error codes. Is there a way to adjust the a/c via the DIC?
