CAN'T OPEN PUSH BUTTON DOORS WHEN POWER GOES OUT

by LARRY
(LIBERTYVILLE,IL)

I GOT STUCK IN MY 2008 CORVETTE CONV WHEN ALL THE POWER WENT OUT
ON VERY HOT DAY. COULD NOT OPEN DOORS OR PUT WINDOWS DOWN. I HAD TO
UN LATCH CONV TOP AND CLIMB OUT TOP. HOW ELSE COULD YOU GET OUT?
I WAS PANICKY IN A GARAGE WHEN THE TEMP WAS 105 DEGREES. GOOD THING I HAD A CONV TOP OR I PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE HERE TO WRITE THIS.

If this ever happens again, there is a lever to the left of the driver's seat with a small picture of the door on it. This is an emergency release for the doors in case the power goes out in your 'vette. The passenger side works the same way. I can't imagine climbing out of the convertible top!
