Check Engine Light, no code

1994 corvette coupe LT-1/automatic. my service engine soon light comes on after driving about 10 miles in the city. car seems to run fine but the mileage could be better. it has 80,000 miles on it. took it to an Autozone and they said it has no codes. either the tech doesn't know how to use the reader or something else is wrong.

Sounds like an O2 sensor. Older cars can benefit by replacing anyways. Improved gas mileage is one of the benefits. Maybe something you want to look at!
