coolant temp sensor

I have a 1994 corvette. I understand that the coolant temp sensor is located in the water pump. How do I replace it?

Use a deep socket that fits it
by: RanRoss

Disconnect the sensor connector and use a deep socket that fits the sensor and remove it. You will leak some coolant when you remove the sensor unless you drain the radiator, but if you are quick you can thread in the new sensor with little loss of coolant. No sealant needed the new sensor will already have it applied if it's needed. Pay attention to how many turns to remove old one and tighten new sensor approx the same. Just don't over tighten the new sensor. Good luck.
