D I C not working

by Bruce
(Billerica, MA)

The D I C lights do not work except when the car is in extreme temps either hot or cold. When they do work it only last until the interior temp reaches the 70 degree area the lights then fad and eventually go out. Any ideas?

Actual fix
by: Bruce D

This was my car and the power supply to the DIC was bad. Sent the whole cluster out and had it rebuilt and now is good as new. Sold the car and bought a new 2015. Picked it up at the museum. If your going to buy one I suggest you do the same. It was a great experience.

Bad Display
by: Chris

Sounds like your IPC cluster has bad solder joints on the display. You may be able to send to a speedometer repair shop. You may also need to replace the cluster with a salvage unit then send to a speedometer shop to reset the mileage inside the cluster to match yours. You will have to sign documents stating mileage. Its not as bad as it sounds. FYI, Odometer mileage is kept in the Power Train Control Module and the IPC.
