Defeat headlights.

Could you tell me, what # of resistor do I need to put in the wiring under the defrost grill in the dash to defeat the auto headlights on my (CANADIAN) 1998 C5 Corvette?
I want to stop the lights from coming on automatically but be able to turn the lights on and off manually.
