difficulty opening the door after the car sits for a few days

by George

Lately during cold weather the electric touch pad door handle requires several attempts to open the door and at times I feel as though it won't open at all. I replaced a dead battery 2 years ago and know what a hassle it is to pull the emergency release in the trunk. It functions great after the car is warm. It is a 2007 convertible with only 7000 miles.

Door Touch Pad
by: Corvette web central

It sounds like your door touch pad is going bad. We remember reading a high change rate on these somewhere but for the life of us we cant seem to remember where it was. When we find more information we will post it back here. In the mean time you may want to take it to the dealer and have them look at the door touch pad. We were thinking it was a technical service bulletin but we could not find it.
