Drive side headlight pops back up after shut off

I changed out the drive side headlight motor. All seemed to be working fine. To store the car I always disconnect the battery. When I disconnect the battery the driver side head popped up. I reconnect the battery and turn the lights on and off the headlight motors synchronized up and came on, but when I shut them off the driver side headlight popped back up? Not sure what is up.
