my first thought is your fuel supply is way too lean to take any added load on the engine (i.e., clutch, 1st gear...)

electrically, i'll wager some circuit is open somewhere, telling your ECM to run your fuel so sparingly;

it seems time to hook up whatever reader you have to start tracking down trouble codes;
