My 1992 corvette wont start and blinks security light

Hello Guys!!

I have a 1992 vette, and I have a problem with the car:

The car starts when he wants! Sometimes starts fine, sometimes not.

When the car does not start, I disconnect the battery and 5 or 10 minutes later the car starts fine.

When the car doesn't start, the security light is blinking....

When I run the car, a few minutes later shows me ´´service ASR´´

Whats my problem with the car? I'm sick of it!

The VAS vehicle anti-theft system is in need of replacement or service. There is a small chip in the key of the system with one of 15 resistors in it. After a period of time the small ornage wife that hooks to your computer from the key mechanism in the steering colum will wear and cause intermittent connection. The easiest way to make the system work reliable is to bi pass it. You can you tube VAS bi pass for a great step by step on how to bipass the system and avoid the costy and time consuming replacement of the wire.
