MY CORVETTE C5 IS NOT CHANGING GEARS

I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC C5 2004. IT IS NOT CHANGING GEARS, IT CHANGES 1ST GEAR BUT REVS HIGH AT 23 MPH IT GOES TO 3000rpm. I TRIED TO GIVE GAS. THAT DOESNT REALLY HELP. IT IS STILL SOUNDING LABORED. IT REVES TO 3000 TO 5000RPM AGAIN AT 33MPH. I JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGED. I THINK I HAVE 2 DIPS STCKS 1 FOR THE FRONT TRANSMISSION AND ANOTHER. HOW CAN I CHECK THE DIFFERENTIAL FLUID OR WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE? I JUST MADE 49000 MILES.

You said you had the oil changed? You did not specifiy if it was the engine or transmission. If its the transmission oil stop driving the car immediatley! It appears its not serviced correctly! To properly service the transmission on a C5 Corvette it requires putting the car on jack stands or lift, running the car to a specified transmission temp, running the trans through the gears and servicing the fluid at the service plug removed from the driverside transmission pan. The transmission has no dip stick and can only be checked this way. Severe transmission damage can occur if you drive with low fluid.
