I owned a 1964 Corvette convertible with a 340HP engine (NOT 360HP) FROM THE FACTORY with a 4.56 ratio rear end. Have you ever seen any others with a supposedly original 340HP (NOT a 1963).
I'm a former editor in the late 1970's early 80's of a Corvette monthly magazine, and author of, at one time, probably the nation's number one restoration manual on 1953 - 1967 Corvettes. So I'm not making up this information about the 340HP in the 64. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this (possibly a VERY EARLY 1964). Trying to find one EXACTLY like the one we had, and of course, finding a 340HP, 1964 model has become basically IMPOSSIBLE. My wife and I are wondering if maybe we were both crazy?

Established in 2008 by Chris Trautman, Corvette Web Central quickly grew into one of the top leading Corvette enthusiast websites globally.
"This website is a passion of mine, just as much as being a Corvette owner," says Chris. He was frustrated trying to find information on the internet about Corvettes which was was not biased or influenced somehow.
He has owned three Corvettes over the last twenty years and does not plan to stop owning one anytime soon.
