shop owner

I have a customer that replaced his battery in his 1999 with 17,000 miles and got a code 1232 left front abs/speed sensor. We switched the wire extensions from side to side to see if the code would change and it didn't. He put a new hub on and it did not change.I can not think of anything changing a battery would cause. Any ideas ? Thanks Tim

If resetting the codes has had no affect with the problem maybe the fault is farther up the line in the wiring or at the plug or plugs themselves. Typically they fail at the base of the hub. Not sure the relationship with the battery but double check the routing on the wiring to the hub at full extremes of steering travel. At full locks and suspension up and down travel its possible to strain the wiring if miss routed. This could also cause the code. Is this code an "H" or "C" or Both?
