Trying to remove a 1962 Corvette clock from the panel

I can't seem to get clock lose from the center panel. Am I missing something?

After disconnecting light bulb socket and power wire at rear of clock, push front face of clock into mount while twisting housing at back clockwise to release. Once clock has turned
Slightly, it will come straight out of console. To reinstall, push clock into position and turn housing at rear counterclockwise till locked.
