Backing out of the driveway, turning into a parking space at low speed it feels as if the body is coming off the frame a loud noise, like the tires are flat,or coming off or sliding. What is the fix??

Wheel Hopping when turning NEW
by: AnonWes Burchymous

There is no reasonable fix. As you know, when turning, the outside wheel turns faster than the inside wheel. The sharper you turn, the greater the difference in rotation speed. Well the same thing happens within the tire. The pavement wants to make the outside edge of the tire turn faster than the inside edge of the tire. The wider the tire is or the sharper the turn, the worse the problem gets. So what you hear / feel is the tire tread binding up and releasing. Proof of this is that when you are turning sharply on slick pavement, the 'problem' goes away. The unreasonable solution is skinnier tires. But where is the fun in that?
